Tibet EBC Overland Tour
Starting from Katmandu at an altitude of 1500 meters, tourists drive westwards along Friendship Highway to Tibet, and you will ultimately arrive in Lhasa via Tingri, Gyantse and Shigatse. On the way, tourists will have two days to Everest Base Camp of northern Himalayas to take a closer look at Mt. Everest and stay overnight at Rongbuk monastery at an altitude of 5200 meters.
This is a wonderful and attractive tour, including snow-capped mountains, huge glaciers, sacred lakes and other natural landscapes, and several famous monasteries and palaces in Tibet. There are some main attractions along the way, such as Everest Base Camp, Sakya Monastery, Tashilhunpo monastery, Gyatse Kunbum, Karola Glacier, Yamdrok Lake, Potala palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera monastery, and Drepung monastery. After Lhasa tour, tourists can either take a flight to Katmandu or continue to head eastwards to the mainland in china.
